Dr. Golob’s No. 1 Health Tip: “Too Much Protein”

Simple Tip: Too Much Protein

The recorded lecture by Dr. Regan Golob and Judy Sinner Incorporating Nutritional Reality Into Your Perfect Health Program, a.k.a. “Common Feeding Boo-boos for Humans” begins with the most important lesson of the 90 minute program.

“One of the biggest things I see wrong with the American diet is way too high in protein.”

He quotes a Harvard medical study which reports that about 47 grams of protein is the maximum that a human can digest in one day. This is roughly the amount of protein contained in a 6 oz. piece of meat, including chicken or fish.

Some people are only able to digest 20 grams per day

Consuming more protein than this sets the stage for osteoporosis and heart attack, and otherwise weakens the body, allowing many other diseases to get a foothold.

Meat is not the only source of protein. Grains, nuts, legumes and even green peas are high in protein, and should be considered in your protein intake calculations.
