Today I received an e-mail that appeared to come from my friend Regan Golob.
It had a link. The link included my name.
The sender said I should be interested in reading it.
I clicked it …
… just as I noticed that the e-mail address it was sent from was NOT Regan’s e-mail address.
I sooooooo know better than to blindly click on things that seem to be links sent by friends!
But I had clicked it!
STUPID! STUPID! STUPID!
Nothing to do now but panic as the computer locks up and the big ugly ransom demand appears on my screen …
… other than to find something heavy to beat myself up with …
And then it appeared …
The Malwarebytes notice that it had just blocked the attack site for me.
My computer and I were saved.

So, maybe I’m not completely STUPID! STUPID! STUPID!
After all, I was wise enough to buy and install Malwarebytes.
