Drinking Solutions: TIPS for in-taking enough water.

Many people tell me they just cannot drink enough water, or, at least that they find it painfully difficult.

As you have heard repeatedly, a 200 lb. (90 Kg.) person needs a minimum of about three quarts (3 liters) of pure water each day.(*)

Even more, if dehydrating beverages such as soda pop, coffee or tea are consumed.

But, most people, including me, find it difficult to pour down twelve 8-oz. glasses of water each day.

My Solution:

I don’t drink my water from glasses.

I drink it from bottles, similar in shape to the ones I wouldn’t have any difficulty drinking four or five quarts of soda pop from. (If I drank soda pop–which I don’t.)

Aquasana water bottles

Make drinking water great again.

Since I avoid drinking from anything plastic, I purchased a set of these Aquasana glass water bottles. (Aquasana AQ-WB-6 Water Bottles Premium Borosilicate Glass 6 Pack)

Yes, it makes a huge difference.

Anni recently asked me to start pouring from the bottles into a single glass to avoid ever needing to wash the bottles. My water consumption immediately dropped to less than half, and I no longer enjoyed drinking the water.

When I began drinking from the bottles again, my water intake returned to proper.

The health benefits from getting enough water more than make up for a quick brushing and rinsing of the bottles every week or so.

They are startlingly durable! We haven’t broken one yet–and, we have a cast iron sink.

They each hold 17 oz., so the set of 6 provides about a day’s minimum of water for most people. Empty the set each day and you are doing better than 98% of the population.

Be wet! (hydrated)
